Catering General Manager

£45,000.00 per annum





Our client has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Catering Manager for Front of House and Hospitality at a prestigious college in Cambridge.


Our client provides freshly prepared nutritious breakfasts, lunches and dinners for 100 people daily on site. In addition, there are fine dining events and hospitality functions on a regular basis.


The successful applicant will come from a fresh food background and be experienced in food service, fine dining and events. An excellent knowledge of allergens is essential.


Please note this is a 7 day operation

The person we are looking for:


  • First and foremost, you must have a real passion for food and quality ingredients
  • Experience with working in a hospitality operation
  • Experience in a high-volume background is a bonus
  • Someone who is an excellent communicator on all levels with customers, staff and the client.
  • Organised enough to be planning your own time as well as that of your team.
  • Is passionate about leading and supporting a team
  • Is keen on coaching, training and developing others
  • Only executes and expects the highest standards in food service, hygiene and cleanliness
  • And of course, a can-do attitude


Non-negotiable requirements:


  • You must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Clean enhanced DBS (fully funded by the company)
  • You must be able to provide 5 years consecutive employment / character references
