Chef Manager

£31,500.00 per annum


My client is looking for a talented Chef Manager to lead the team at one of their Independent Boarding Schools in Shropshire.

My client provides a breakfast, lunch and dinner provision to 150 pupils plus 50 teachers on a daily basis. There is a small amount of hospitality and match teas to cater for.

You will be managing a team of 5 within the kitchen (front of house staff| serving is done by the domestic school staff). This allows you and your kitchen team to focus solely on food quality and consistency.

You will need to come from a total fresh food background and be able to demonstrate your passion for fresh, quality seasonal produce. You will have excellent knowledge of modern food trends.

Experience required: 

  • At least 1 year of Chef Manager experience within either B&I (contract catering) or education (contract catering)
  • Consideration will be given to a passionate head chef, you would need at least 2 years of head chef experience within either B&I (contract catering) or education (contract catering)

Salary & Benefits:

  • £31,500 per annum
  • 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Additional discretionary holiday weeks available
  • Working 5 days out of 7 days (40 hours per week)
