Head Chef

£38,000.00 per annum


I am recruiting a passionate & dynamic Head Chef for a prestigious client within the Independent School sector.

My client provides a breakfast, lunch and dinner service to approx. 450 pupils across breakfast, lunch and dinner with high levels of hospitality and match teas.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen operation to ensure consistency and quality. You will be managing a team of 6 chefs at any one time.

You will be fully responsible and accountable for achieving the food budget along with attaining high health and safety and food safety audit scores.

You will need to come from a total fresh food background and be able to demonstrate your passion for fresh, quality seasonal produce. You will have excellent knowledge of modern food trends. You will have excellent client relationship skills along with being financially astute and focused.

Experience required: 

  • At least 3 years of Head Chef| Executive Chef experience within Independent Schools or B&I
  • Chef Managers from B&I or Independent Education will be considered

Salary & Benefits:

  • £38,000 per annum
  • 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
