My client is a leading contract catering company in the education sector.

My client has an opportunity for a Head Chef who is currently working within B&I or education to support the Executive Chef Manager at a fabulous secondary school in Whitechaple, London.

Services provided are breakfast, morning break & lunch to 1,000 pupils onsite.

You will need to come from a total fresh food background and be able to demonstrate your passion for fresh, quality seasonal produce. You will have excellent commercial awareness and be able to demonstrate this along with your knowledge of modern food trends.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £25,500 per annum
  • Term Time Only (40 working weeks)
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday (7.00am to 3.30pm)
  • No weekend working
  • Meals on duty, uniform provided

Job Requirements & Key Skills:

  • Ensuring that service level agreements are achieved & customer and client expectations are met.
  • Ensuring that catering premises and equipment are maintained, clean and hygienic and that safe systems of work are in place
  • Supporting the Executive Chef Manager with managing, motivating and developing the team
  • Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed
  • Ensure that financial margins are being met and client budget being achieved through good management of the account
  • A real foodie, someone who will stand out for there passion
  • Fresh, seasonal food background with an understanding of modern food trends
  • A strong team player as well as someone who leads from the front
  • Strong craft skills
  • Excellent communication skills
