Operations Manager

£45,000.00 per annum


My client is a leading contract caterer within the Education Sector. Due to business growth and excellent contract retention my client is looking to add another Operations Manager to the team. The Geographical area will be Woking, Reading, High Wycombe, Watford, West London.

The successful candidate will need to have worked in an Operations Manager role for more than 3 years within the contract catering sector or high end commercial sector . You will need to be commercially minded, have a critical eye for detail, phenomenal people skills and a real love for fresh seasonal food.

The patch of business will consist of between 12 to 15 Secondary and Academy Schools.

Salary & Benefits;

  • £42,000 to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Company Bonus

Responsibilities and Key Points; 

  • At least three years in a Operations Manager role
  • Experience of managing a turnover in excess of 3 million per annum (multi sites)
  • Experience at Operations Manager level within contract catering or high end commercial catering
  • A high integrity and personal standards with the drive and determination to succeed
  • A strong, proactive team player approach with a track record of developing teams
  • An ability to innovate and delegate
  • Commercial and strategic acumen
  • The ability to be able identify new opportunities and develop strategies
  • To ensure budgets are achieved and exceeded wherever possible
  • Extensive experience in a multi-disciplined service environment
  • In depth knowledge of commercial catering
  • A love for fresh food and quality service – a real “Foodie”
  • To be able to communicate at all levels efficiently
  • Ensuring food quality & standards of service are to company & client standards
  • All HSE & Food Safety meets company & client standards and UK legislation
  • Completing audits, compiling action plans and reports
  • To build strong and productions relationships with your clients
  • Ensuring completion of appraisals, investigations, coaching and all HR procedures providing support as required
  • Carry out all recruitment process interviews, inductions and team training as required

Legal Requirements;

  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Clean Enhanced DBS will be required
  • 5 Years work reference check
  • Overseas Check
