Relief Chef Manager

My client is a leading contract catering company within the education sector.

Responsibilities for the position:

  • Supporting locations with functions
  • Covering location Chef Managers holiday and sickness
  • Supporting with mobilisations
  • Troubleshooting
  • Ensuring that service level agreements are achieved & customer and client expectations are met.
  • Ensuring that catering premises and equipment are maintained, clean and hygienic and that safe systems of work are in place
  • Managing, motivating and developing the team when covering location
  • Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed
  • Ensure that financial margins are being met and client budget being achieved through good management of the account
  • A real foodie, someone who will stand out for there passion
  • Fresh, seasonal food background with an understanding of modern food trends
  • A strong team player as well as someone who leads from the front
  • Experience of Microsoft packages (word, excel, outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Clean driving license and willingness to travel

This role requires a Chef Manager with experience within B&I &/or Education within contract catering.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £31,000 per annum (Negotiable)
  • Annual Bonus
  • 40 hours per week
  • 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Monday to Friday
  • Working hours – 7.00am to 3.30pm
  • Paid Travel Expenses (45p per mile)
  • Uniform & meals on duty
